I have a little over an acre with about half of that to mow. I have quite a bit of driveway and rear access to the house that I like to keep clear of snow. So far these tasks have been handled quite well by my Wheel Horse 520H, with a 48" mowing deck with bagger, and a 44" 2 stage snow blower.
I'm looking to clear some brush/weed areas, clear some rocks and debris, and do some moderate landscaping involving filling some areas with loam, seeding etc. The areas I wish to expand into do have some moderate slope to them. I figure a 4wd with a fel and a front mount blower like the BX series should do nicely for what I want. I don't want to get much bigger because the lawn has obstacles for mowing.
I began by looking at the BX1500 but quickly decided that I would probably want more power than the 15 HP so I think I've settled on the 2200.
I know how to buy a car and get a good deal but what kind of negotiations should I expect for a tractor? I live in the Northeast of Mass but will be shopping at a dealer in Southern NH. Are these like cars where you can routinely negotiate 10% or more discounts?
Also, where can I find out what a fair price for my Wheel Horse is on trade in? It's 5 years old but in very good shape with only 81 hours on it. I'm headed there tomorrow and I was hoping to be a little better prepared. It's never a good thing to go in looking like a deer in the headlights!

If I were negotiating a BX, front blower and MMM I would expect to pay list prices for those items and have the loader tossed in the package at no additional cost.
That will put you somewhere in a reasonable neighborhood, price-wise.
Don't forget to get a 4-way control valve for the loader, and if you are working slopes, consider some wheel weights.
They are pretty cheap in Kubota's world and add a measure of lateral stability.
You can shop the internet but you have to add at least a thousand bucks to their prices for shipping. But it will give you an idea of bare bones pricing. ....

Thanks for the info! I would be pretty happy if I could get the fel thrown in for nothing and list price on the rest. I will definately get the 4 way and the weights, I'm thinking of chains for the ice and a rear grader blade as well. ....

Good luck finding a reasonable price on a kubota in your area. When I was looking you had to go up into Maine or Vermont to find a reasonable price. The best prices I found in Mass or NH were up in Plymouth NH. Recently I heard of someone that had worked a reasonable deal on a BX in Milford, NH. so maybe with the increased competition you will have better luck than I did. Let us know how you make out. ....

Well, here's an update for you. It looks like I've settled on a BX2200 with fel and heated Curtis cab for $12900. I was not able to get what I wanted for trade on my Wheel Horse so I guess I will be a two tractor guy for a while. When I sell the Wheel Horse I can buy the other attachments I wish to add.
I think the list price on this package is about $14300 so I guess I'm doing okay. I could drop the cab and get a 54" mmm for about the same money but I fell in love with the cab. Those of you who have ever blown snow on an open air tractor will understand why! ....
